Windows XP SUS "client" configuration

With my Windows XP machines I am running into issues where after while the (client) PC will revert back to updating from the Microsoft web site.  I was wondering if you have seen or heard any of the same, and if you had any Ideas.  Are there additional registry settings that I am not finding?  I thank you for any help that you can give me

1. Clear the Internet Explorer cache
Start Internet Explorer.
On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
Click the General tab.
In the Temporary Internet files section, click Delete Cookies.
Click OK in the Delete Cookies box.
In the Temporary Internet Files section, click Delete Files.
Select the Delete all offline content check box in the Delete Files dialog box.
Click OK.
In the History section, click the Clear History button.
Click Yes.
Click OK.

2. Stop the auto-update service (cmd prompt > net stop "automatic updates"

3. Rename the folder c:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution > SoftwareDistribution.old

4. Start the auto-pdate service (cmd prompt >net start "automatic updates"

If the above didn't help, then I am sure it is some program/user who is changing the settings.

And btw, are you configuring the update clients using a group policy.

May be a silly question, but do you have "Save the updates to a local folder" option enabled in your SUS Server Options page.
