PC-cillin with Dial-up modem (56k)

Has anyone had any experience running PC-cillin on a PC that has dial-up Internet service?
ie: Does the user see a major reduction in browsing speed when PC-cillin downloads new dat files?

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. i used PC-cillin with dial-up lastime
yes very slow in browsing when running update
bcos pc-cillin need to download virus pattern file which is large (average is 4MB)

suggestion: try using avg antivirus or kaspersky (average is less than 1MB)
reason: their new virus pattern is very small (suit dial-up users)

avg: www.grisoft.com
kaspersky: www.kaspersky.com
its common to get slow if you are download while browsing especially using dialup, avg is not good, i recommend avast! www.avast.com i am dial up and using this it does not slow my system much
