versatile eCommerce solutions or packages

Hi all,

I have to design a website so i'm looking for a PHP solution or package to implement a eCommerce site.

I want something very open and flexible not like PostNuke which is rather difficult to modify.

TIA

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Hi
str_kani has already mentioned the most popular ecommerce solution for PHP
Maybe you would like to look at http://www.cubecart.com/ but it not FREE... not a bad solution either.

Ofcourse.
As far as I am concerned this team (OSC) has done an excellent job. Most of my clients gone and going for oscommerce. If you ask me I will refer the same for you.

There are many resources in the form of websites to update and make changes in this package.

here is a sample;

Hope you will enjoy OSC

OSCommerce is the way to go with PHP, it is highly configurable and has a lot of options that "the expensive systems" lack.
