WIndows 2000 Server , LOGIN & LOGOFF information

I want to know that  where can i find the option to check the time of users logs on and logg off in windows 2000 domain active directory environment, AND

Is ther any other option or tools where in can see the login information of currently login users?

i didnt find an article, descriping, that there is an option to log these times, but i find an software (costs)

the other possibility is to solve the via script. for examble: you could stop the time with a logfile which is generated on logon and logoff


... when you have running terminal services, you can look in your console how long a user has opennd an session

The simplest method is the Security Audits in the included Event Viewer.  You may need to enable user login/logoff auditing from the Group or Local Policy Object first.  With this enabled, every login and logoff event will be recorded in the Security category of the Event Viewer.
