How to change a user's email address

The company I am with has three companies under it's umbrella.  One portion receives their mail at & others receive at  The user in question was initially set up to use the xyz account but needs to use the aaa account going forward.  How can this be accomplished?

In Active Directory, right click the user, go to Properties.Click the e-mail address tab.
Click the "new" button, "STMP Address"...and add the aaa email address.
Now select the new address in the email list and click the button "Set As Primary"
Keep the old address in there so the user can still accept emails from his old email address in case people still use it.
