Free Text Word Search with SoundEX

I am trying to learn about free text searching, and was looking for some help in writing  function.  The function I need help with does the following:

1.  Takes as input a directory of *.txt files (User Prompt)
2.  Asks the user to input a word to search for (User Prompt)
3.  Searches all of the text files (in the directory) for the input word, for both exact and SoundEX matches
4.  Displays the word, or words found (exact and SoundEX matches) and the document it came from

Please let me know if you can help!

We're not allowed to provide full blown code.
But maybe this helps:

>>1.  Takes as input a directory of *.txt files (User Prompt)
use JFileChooser (examples at http://www.javaalmanac.com/cgi-bin/search/find.pl?words=JFileChooser)
>>2.  Asks the user to input a word to search for (User Prompt)
By entering text in a JTextField?
>>3.  Searches all of the text files (in the directory) for the input word, for both exact and SoundEX matches
