Calendar labels change

I'm trying to help another user with a problem using Outlook 2003 SP1.  He likes to use the labels within the Outlook Calendar.  He edits the labels with his own descriptions.  He claims that descriptions do not stick -- the lables go back to their defaults.  He has indicated that a few of the label changes have not changed, but most of them have changed back to the default.  I've not been able to duplicate or see a pattern in how the labels change back to the default.  Any ideas on what to look for?

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I guess yet another weird problem or an unknown function in OL 2003.

Did it start suddenly or it has been there since OL 2003 was setup and labels were created ?

Has he added any new add-ins in outlook that might cause this to happen ?

has the outlook PST file being repaired to see if that solves the issue.

Is there any other issue associated in calendar or in outlook ?

He has a new Dell laptop, about 2 - 3 months old, and he thinks the problem has been there since receiving the new unit.  Only add-in is active sync.

Running Outlook against an Exchange 2003 server, so no PST file.

Not aware of any other issue associated with Calendar or Outlook.

did this start happening once the outlook profile has been created or even before that ?

Do other users connected to the same exchange server having the issues ?

have you created a new outlook profile and check how it would behave in that ?

have you recreated the exchange profile for this user and checked ?
