access denied to directory
hi dear
I am using veritas 9.1 on win2k sp4 server
i have gone through few articles from veritas web site pertaining to access denied problems but noen of them made me satisfied bcoz i m sure that each and every directory has full control to back exec account and moreover backexec account is member of domain admin group and domain admin also have full control over each and every dir .
but still i get on and off the followign error msg
Backup - \\CLUSTER2-HQ\M: PRAccess denied to directory \.
Directory not found. Can not backup directory \PR and its subdirectories.
same thing for another folder also called genadmin
it was working fine for quite some time but all of sudden this starnge thing happen , i didnt change any persmission things
i do not believe its permission problem
i came to know from 1 site that , re-create selction list can solve but its the perm solution, it crates problem for my month end backuop which is imp

no i m the system administrator , no one has rights to change any thing at permission level.
In version 9.1 permissions setup in two places; Im not near my lab but, you may suffer ether an insuficiant permision getting to the agent or you may suffer comm probs somewhere...
I'll be able to reply to you later but in the meanwhile, why dont you use Veritas Diagnostics?

I belief the problem lies with static volume space

did some changes , after test back started but will check the final result on monday

sorry for overlooking , it was missed from my mind to close this issue , may be i was over joyed bcoz my problem was solved by myself :)
actually , the problem was related to space which required by veritas in order to take backup
i followed veritas technote 261831
abd problem solved , u can close this case.
