Internet Explorer 6 unable to view PNG file.

Hi,

My computer is running Win98 SE. I have IE6 installed in my computer but the problem is my IE cannot see the PNG files on website that I visit. I've already update my IE to service pack 1. but it still didn't work..I download few IE6 patches but it give me an error such as: Must install IE6 before install the patch file.

Can somebody help me?

Thanks
Kee

I would recommend using IE7 instead :-)

You don't say whether you're having problems with a single web site or with PNG images in general. Internet Explorer has historically had incomplete support for standard PNG images. http://www.libpng.org/pub/png/pngapbr.html#msie-win-unix has a good overview of the problems.

Web sites can use the DirectX IE hack to show PNG images:
