    Don't have a link but you should read tcp/ip illustrated volume 1 by richard stevens. It is the absolute best resource you will ever find on tcp/ip. It's very well written and not too difficult to read and it's a lot better than picking up bits and pieces from various sources on the internet.

    This'll explain TCP and how it works to just about anyone.  You'll need broadband speeds to download it.
