Mixed Domain
Hi,
The scenario: NT4 PDC, NT4 BDC & Windows 2000 as Member Server.
I have recently installed Win2k3 Server, it can find the Win2k server when I click start/run/win2k_servername
All the servers are in the same physical LAN and same subnet.
The error that I get when I try to connect to the NT4 server is "No network provider accepted the given network path".
I may not upgrade the NT4 servers to 2000. Any solutions for this?

are you using wins and/or dns?
are there entries for the nt4 servers in dns/wins/lmhost?

1. (what about start > run > \\ip of the nt4 )
Answer is NO
2. (can you ping the nt4 from 2003?)
Answer is YES

Answer is YES - Using WINS server

WeHe can you please tell me how do I do all the things that you asked me as I haven't done any of these. I have put the WINS Server's IP in the WIN2K3 server?

Thanks for the help provided.
I had to reinstall the Win2K3 server though to get it in the domain. All I did was I had WINS information added to the server without the gateway or DNS.
