DNS configuration

How can I configure the Windows 2000 DNS server to work with http:\\www.mydomain.com and http:\\mydomain.com using Internet Explorer ?

The mydomain.com zone are configured and an host exist with WWW. When I try http:\\www.mydomain.com I can find an IP adress. When I try http:\\mydomain.com ther is no IP returned.

add a host as normal but leave the name blank. It'll probably say "'same as target folder' is not a valid host" but just ignore it and carry on.
