I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Hi,

Sure. Redhat can be a client machine. Set the gateway on the redhat machine to the same gateway as other workstations. Use the redhat-configure-network command to configure.

If you are using Gnome GUI desktop, click on Main Menu -> System Settings -> Network.

Under Devices tab, double click the Ethernet device (eth0) to set IP address and gateway under General tab. Don't worry about other tabs (Route & Hardware Device).
