Mirror files on laptop

Hi all,
A frequent problem I am sure!
I want to be able to have my laptop synch automatically when I log on to my microsoft home network.
I am using filesync which is a super product. However, the developer seems to have lost interest, the promised updates never apear and the owner does not reply to emails.

Please do not suggest offline files as I have tried and it is a nichtmare to set up sub folders. But the main problem is that it does not allow use of Access mdb files.

If anyone knows of a better piece of software that filesync I would be very gratefull.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Hi Muskett,

Robocopy from the Resource Kit could be helpful here.  It's a command-line utility for copying files, which has an understanding of "mirroring".

Take a look at http://www.ss64.com/nt/robocopyXP.html for example of how to use it.

Does that help?

Personally, I have no problems with offline files and subfolders. Anyway, If all that keeps you from using offline files is the mdb restriction, you can get around this restriction:
Error Message: Files of This Type Cannot Be Made Available Offline
