strings in marquee

Hello,

How can I concatenate two strings together with the tags needed for a marquee?

I would like to start an introuction text have a link then finish the text within a <marquee>

I am familiar with using start and stop just not sure how to insert a link in the middle.

It would be great if it could be inside of a table or div with a border around it.

What would it look like?

I know what the basic marquee looks like already just not sure how to put the pieces together.

Is there a hierarchy that makes it easier?

thanks in advance,

Don

What exactly are you going for? Can you sketch it out?  I.E.

                                                                                                               Mess1
                                                                                     Mess1
                                                                      Mess1
                                                                                                          Mess2
                                                                      Mess2
                                         Mess2
                                                                                                          Mess3
                                                                                   Mess3

For instance have a message that reads like inside the marquee tags with a nice colored background and border:

Don't forget to attend the Thanksgiving dinner on November 17th for directions click here. Also check out the rest of currrent events by clicking here.

I think it would be something like this:

<div
<marquee  XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX /marquee>
/div>

thanks in advance,

Don

<MARQUEE><DIV style="background-color:blue;">Don't forget to attend the Thanksgiving dinner on November 17th.  For directions, <A

HREF="link.html" style="color:red">click here</A>.  Also, check out the rest of the current events by <A HREF="newlink.html"

style="color:red">clicking here</A>.</DIV></MARQUEE>

That should do the trick.  Obviously, colors, text, and links can be changed.  The structure should remain intact.

What does it mean to be "Always On"?

Is your cloud always on? With an Always On cloud you won't have to worry about downtime for maintenance or software application code updates, ensuring that your bottom line isn't affected.

P.S. Some find marquees tacky.  Consider.

Hi superm401,

What do you suggest instead of a marquee that serves the same purpose?

thanks,

It would probably be best just to use regular text, although it's less interesting.

Create a basic piece of scrolling flash? Or you can download small applets to do this kind of thing which will look better than a marquee.
