Javascript Guestbook

'Lo guys. I need a guestbook for my website. I know it can be done in php and cgi but I honestly wanna do it in javascript because out of those scripting languages javascript is the one i know the most.
I'm not sure if its possible though. I know a way to do it would be to e-mail myself every entry and then me adding it by hand, but i was wandering if i could make a functional guestbook in javascript that will post the entries on the page by itslelf.

thanx guys.

kibkid,
To do this you will have to have sever side scripting of some sort eg ASP,PHP or CGI, it can not be done by javascript alone. If you are prepaed to put up with a small banner or two there are are a host of really easy to use guest books on the web, I have used http://www.dreambook.com/ and you barely notice the banner

Thanx, I was looking at your first suggestion and I downloaded the files but the thing is that the instruction file does not help much on how to use it.

Once I download the files I put all the .php and every file in the server, how do I call on the .php file? Sorry but as I said before I do not know php. I was trying to test it and I typed the path of the php file on the browser (IE 6.0) and it asked me to choose a file from a list.

Yes I installed php but do I have to tell the browser that I'm running it?

thanx.

The suggestions I have given you require no server side scripting. You just add the small piece code they give you when you register to your html page you want to link to the guest box. They then do the rest for you.
