I want to setup a Server-Client Architecture for Internet/Emails to stop the VIRUSES and SPAM.
Means all the Emails through our POP should be scanned on the Local Server and then relay to the staff and same should be with SMTP.

Our Structure is
|| ISP Router > Hub > PCs(approx 40)

i want to put a Server in between this architecture so that i would be able to Stop SPAM & Viruses on the Server.

Please advise, How to do this completely? which software we should use on server?

Thanks & Regards

    Accepted Solution

    install a mail server program on a machine to be a server ( 602 lansuite or exchange or cMail ) all of which have commercially available antispam and antivirus options

    Assisted Solution

    Install any POP3 mail server software and install a copy of Norton Antivirus. The POP3 mail server can be configured to redirect all incomming mails through Norton's POP service, which scans them.
    Otherwise, as UNS-Tech says, use a POP3 mail-server with built-in antivirus (MDAEMON etc.)
