a little investigation points me toward SharePoint Timer Service as the culprit of this file?

My boot drive on my windows 2003 web server is filling up. &nbsp;A filed called sptimer.mem(3 gig) seems to be the culprit. &nbsp;Can you tell what this is used for and do I need it? &nbsp;If needed, can I relocate it to another drive?<br />

what is sptimer.mem

Windows Server 2003 was based on Windows XP and was released in four editions: Web, Standard, Enterprise and Datacenter. It also had derivative versions for clusters, storage and Microsoft’s Small Business Server. Important upgrades included integrating Internet Information Services (IIS), improvements to Active Directory (AD) and Group Policy (GP), and the migration to Automated System Recovery (ASR).
