Recommendations for text Chat Software on ASP/IIS6/MySQL site

Hi Experts,

I have a site that uses ASP vbscript, IIS6 and MySQL.

I need recommendations on some realtime text chat software that would work within the site.

The chat area will usually be closed however the client want's to schedule online chat seminars.

I don't have a clue how many people will actually be chatting with the seminar leader during these periods, but it could be hundreds.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Hi Fritz,

Actually I need some kinda of chat (not forum) i'm not sure, but it may be a java script or something that works in the page to allow members to chat live.

I am not sure how that would differ from a forum really except for the formatting. You will still need to capture the content somewhere to display it and etc. It almost sounds like you want some sort of IM client....

Kind of like a IM client (instead of IM'img a particular person, I need a chat room). I have found a few ASP chat's but they basically just refresh a page every 5 seconds or so. I am looking for an add-in (java script or other) for a single real time chat room. Their may not be one, but with the vast amount of sites using asp out there, im sure some of them would be using some kind of chat module.

Note: This doesn't have to be a free software.

Unfortunaltely it doesn't look like they have a trial version.
