Cannot receive external mail

My client can receive external mail via OWA, but not Outlook. She can send and receive internal mail, but NOT via OWA. Sending external mail via Outlook is OK. Any ideas?

Thanks. The rest of her company don't have the problem, so it's not the firewall. I am supporting remotely, so can't easily check settings, either. Her account has been created using a template, which has been used before with no problems.

OWA all email sending and receiving is done by the Server, the OWA client only displays the contents of the mailbox, it so the email problems have nothing to do with desktop machine.  So I would suggest checking the settings on the server.

Silly question, but are you absolutely positive the OWA client and Outlook are connecting to the same mailbox?

If the Outlook client has a PST file set as the delivery point then Outlook's MAPI functionality might be sending the emails rather than Exchange.  If the default delivery point is mailbox then the server is doing it.

Can you reproduce this exact problem while logging onto different Outlook client machines and thru OWA on different machines?  I'm anticipating you would be able to, and that the problem would be with the mailbox.
