Getting a win 2k pro machine to auto log on

Hi guys,

I am looking at rolling out TS to our remote sites, one thing that i am keen on doing is making the users machines "dumb terminals", ie i want the user to be able to walk up to it, turn it on and it will take you to a desktop with one icon on it fo the ts client to connect the to server.

The user account will oh course be very restricted and the users will use their accounts to then log onto the terminal server.

Is there anyway i can do this? i have found how to do it outside of a domain, but all my PC`s are in a domain and i would love to keep it like that if can.

Any help would be grand.

Hi cmrecruitment,
for the autologon

You can also hack this registry key

For details see
How to Enable Automatic Logon in Windows;en-us;315231&

And if that isn’t enough take a look here
Get Rid of the Logon Screen (95/98/ME/2K/XP)
