I need to repath a webpage to move it...

I'm not really sure how to word this, but I was wondering if anyone knew of a program or something that would repath all the pages in a web page, so I can move them to a new server. Right now everything is on the server with the path \\iis\intranet , so every page points to that in the beginning of its link. What I need to do is make it \\newserver\intranet, so I need some way to go through and change all of those pages to point to the new server instead of the old one! Thanks!

Not a problem, you can use  Tintin or my script in:

to replace string "iss" with "newserver"

please make sure you have a good backup, before making the change.

You need to run the script under Linux/Unix box.

Okay, I will give that a try. I will have to get a machine to set up Linux on first....
A lesson to learn from this case, if the webpages are sitting in the same webserver, don't
hard code the links with "servername" + "path", use relatived path to the server document root dir. When you need to change server, you can simply transfer the web pages accross without have to modify them.

Good luck!

Thanks that seemed to work fine. Yes, I mentioned that lesson to the original designer....and to the current designers!!
You are welcome, cheers!
