Auto-Installing Applications on win2k network

Hello all

I kind of remember reading how I can mass install applications via group policy or some thing. I am running a win2k AD network and most of the desktops I need to install reflections to are win2k(a few are 98). I wont even try to write a script but I am almost positive i can just use the policy thing to make this work i am just not sure how.

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Deploying software to clients.

In a domain environment you can deploy software via an MSI file and policy.

HOW TO: Assign Software to a Specific Group By Using a Group Policy in the Windows Server 2003 Family

This is fine if the application you want to deploy has an MSI file if it does not

If you have an msi package its pretty easy, just be carefull NOT to deploy big software packages over slow network links :)
