How can I resize my projector file over the task bar????

I used some lingo code which enables my projector file to resize depending on someones monitor size which works great however I want the projector to cover the entire screen as the task bar at the bottom  is still there covering some of the text I have. Can anyone help????

Buddy API (www.modes.com.au) can hide the task bar.

( a couple of quotes from macromedia site discussions )

for consistent results you might want to try the Desktop Xtra
http://www.meliorasoft.com/xtras/desktop/ out, it allows to handle all
desktop elements like the task bar, use ShowTaskBar(false) function to hide
it.

You can also use BuddyAPI to hide the taskbar.

You can use:
baHideTaskBar( true )

I downloaded the buddyapi but im not really sure of what to do. I saved the folder (bx370) I downloaded into my c: programs - macromedia-directorMX. Is this right ??? Now what do I do as I havent used anything like this before. Do I add the line baHideTaskBar(true) to the script I have for resizing the projector??? or what happens???

--[rect(0,0,1024,768)]

on prepareMovie
  (the stage).rect = (the desktopRectList)[1]
  (the stage).drawRect = (the desktopRectList)[1]
end

If you are on a PC you shoudl ahve a file called Budapi.x32 that goes in your Xtras folder.  ONce its there you cna select the Xtras drop down in teh script window to access all teh Buddy API functions or type them manually or copy from the manual.

baHideTaskBar(true)

Can be called first thing, just be sure to set it back on stopMOvie. :)

Hi
I put the file you said above in the xtras folder in the scripting folder along with other x32 files. I restarted my computer bu the options I have in the drop down list are the same as they were before eg.

closexlib()
interface()
openxlib()
showxlib()
name

The buddy api help section says the following:

HideTaskBar

Description:      baHideTaskBar shows/hides the Win95 task bar.

Usage:      Result = baHideTaskBar( Hide )

Arguments:      Integer.
      If Hide is true, the task bar is hidden, else it will be visible.

Returns:      Integer.
      Returns the previous state of the task bar - 1 if it is visible, 0 if it isn't.

Examples:      Director:
      showing = baHideTaskBar( true )

      Authorware:
      showing := baHideTaskBar( true )

Notes:      This function will not change the users task bar settings - the 'Always on top' and 'Auto hide' settings.

What do I select from the drop down list??

You don;t need to do any.  THis is a scripting Xtra.  Make sure its set ot include in projector from Modify>Movie>Xtras.  Then in ytour code..

on startMOvie
  baHideTaskBar(1)
end

on stopMovie
  baHideTaskBar(0)
end

Hi
I understand now how the xtras work. I have got my task bar to disappear but the movie dosent seem to be resizing there is just an empty space where the task bar is meant to be. is there something wrong with my code:-

on prepareMovie
  (the stage).rect = (the desktopRectList)[1]
  (the stage).drawRect = (the desktopRectList)[1]
end

Where does the desktopRectList go??? - [rect(0,0,1024,768)] Does this go in a text field or just below the onprepareMovie??

Turn off the title bar adn disable scaling and maximize buttons in the template tab.  Then make sure that the code to hid the task bar runs BEFORE the preparemovie above.  Preparemovie runs first, then start movie so you may need to reverse them or combine the code into one or the other.
