TEXT data missing when exporting to PDF format

Hi all,

I have a report made with CR 8.5 that displays information extracted from a SQL 2000 database. One of the fields displayed is of the TEXT format and contains a detailed procedure that spans over three pages.

Everything works fine if I print the report using CR but if I export it to PDF (version 6) format then I loose about 75% of the text field contents.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. According to Business Objects, there is limited support for Memo fields (how Crystal Reports interprets your TEXT Datatype) for .pdf exports.  Please download and review the CR85 Export Limitations document from the following link:

The short answer is you will probably need to parse the TEXT field into several pieces in order to view it accurately in Crystal Reports.
