XP would not allow me to access my Apache2Triad Server through using http://localhost/phpmyadmin/

Recently install the latest Apache2Triad on to my Win XP professional stand  alone machine.

My problem is this:

When I open Internet browser and type in the following url to upload or get access to the server on my local machine  e.g:

http://localhost/phpmyadmin/

The “connect to local host” security dialogue box appears and when I type in the following  “root/triadpass” “user/pass” as recommended in the readme file for Apache2Triad no joy.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

does http://localhost work ok ?

if it does it sounds like you need to do some changes in the phpmyadmin config and/or the myslq database.

take a look at the documentation here
http://www.phpmyadmin.net/documentation/

especially the part about
"Using authentication modes"

let us know how it works
