I am planning to buy a new server for our company. Right now we are using Dell Poweredge 4400. To tell about our company, we will be getting 20,000 unique visitors per month. Please advice me about best server in the market that cater to our needs. If you want more details about our company, let me know.

Have a look with IBM Server

http://www-1.ibm.com/servers/eserver/xseries/index.html

I don't trust Dell for server. I will get something like that for a server, speed can be vary depend on the budget

Motherboard support Hot Swap
XEON CPU * 2
RAM At least 1 GB ECC
Dual Channel SCSI Interface (one for HDD, and one for backup device)
Support RAID 5 at least.
Hot Swap Bay.
5 SCSI HDDs, (two array - RAID 1 for system, RAID 5 for Data)
Redundance power supply
Tape backup drive (depend on how large size of HDD you have)

Thanks for your reply daniel. I will be waiting for more advices, and will be looking into the terminology you have introduced to me. I am basically a web programmer and new into this hardware stuff, so I need to research a lot to end up with a decision. Thanks a lot again

Thanks a lot daniel,
I called up the IBM and got excellent support. I am going with x series and I have seen good reviews on it.
