epsxe runs too fast

Hello.  I have a playstation of my own, but I found out I can run PS games in DX6 or so, which means I can do 8X antialiasing and 8X anisotropic filtering.  I am excited about this, but there's a problem - the games run too fast.  I've heard of this problem before, and I even got something to help myself out, but the program (CPU Killer) works my CPU too hard, I think.

I have an AthlonXP 2000 (1.67GHz), and at a normal speed, Gran Turismo 2 runs so fast that the first car I buy hits over 200mph, by what I can see as compared to my Escudo experiences on the same tracks, within the first five seconds of a race.  The speedometer tells me I'm going about 40mph, but that goes by even faster.

What I've done so far is I've run CPU Killer, but the game wouldn't boot up with that.  I believe it's because of my background virus scanning programs, so I will try to run this in safe mode after trying out a few more programs.

Any suggestions?

Thanks a lot!

Try setting frame limit in the epsxe option to ON. This is a built in speed limit feature.

Wow!  It works now!  It's a bit too slow at 30, though.  What do you recommend?
50 for NTSC games, 60 for PAL games.
Cool.
