Page Cannot Be Displayed - Error Message in IE

We have one computer out of 40 on our hq network that is having this problem:

We have a terminal server box accessible by internal ip ( and external.  On the problem machine, I CAN:

1.  Go to the external ip in Internet Explorer;
2.  Go to both the external and internal ip via Remote Desktop Connection.

What I can NOT do is resolve the internal ip address in Internet Explorer.  Every other machine here is ok, and does not have this problem.

Any ideas??

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Check that this machine doesn't have the Proxy configured in the LAN settingsin Internet Options, for internal addresses:

1. Open IE
2. Tools ->Internet Options->Connections->LAN Settings (at the bottom)-> In case that proxy is configured, check the check box "Bypass proxy server for local connections".

Inthat case you won't pass through proxy for internal IPs.

Good luck.

Sorry, but no proxy specified.  Thanks for the thought though.

Any other ideas?
