JViewPort in netbeans

i wanted to work with JViewPort in NetBeans3.6 , but i dont see any JViewPort component/container in the Swing Palette
(in the left hand side of the NetBeans environment)

any help appreciated

That's right. But I've never needed it.
You can always add it manually in your code of course.
What are you trying to do?

i was trying to build a menu with sub-menus in it using JViewPort.

I don't see the link with a JViewport?
Try JMenu with JMenuItem's in it:

- Make a new JFrame form
- in the Inspector right-click "Other Components" > Add from palette > Swing > JMenuBar
- in those you can add JMenu's and in those JMenuItem's
