Movie Path

I am trying to figure out the path of a movie that I imported so that I can use the _visible feature on it.

I have a movie called 'JohnDoe' which is located on the Main Movie Stage.  Within the movie 'JohnDoe' I load a movie - loadMovieNum("baseballform.swf", 1);

Now I have a button located on the Main Movie Stage that once it is selected should run the script -
_level1.baseballform._visible = false;
_root.baseballform._visible = false;
_root.johndoe.baseballform._visible = false;

These don't seem to be working. This works - unloadMovienum(1); ,
but I don't want to unload it because I want the form to hold the input values.
Any idea how to make this movie invisible without unloading it.
