Z-index or something like it in VB.NET?

I have a parent form with PictureBox (background, controls) on it.
When I click on one of the controls I want to open and show new MdiChild form but I do not see the form because it behind PictureBox.
How can I show MdiChild form above all in MdiParent form?

Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Sorry dba_tetanya, that it not possible in a MDI application, it is that way by design.

MDI was not designed to put controls on the Parent.

So what I need? To create MdiChild form with all controls, and every new MdiChild form will be opened above the MdiChild form?

Yes, that could be a possibility, but another question might be, does it have to be a MDI application ?

So when do I need to use MDI application (in two words, please)?

RonaldBiemansCommented:
I program where you will open multiple instances of the same child and the parent will act as a container for easier access and overview.

Applications like word, excel etc.. as you can see in those applications there are no controls on the parent either.

Sorry more then 2 words ;-)
