"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

i would not do this with a DC, as the SID is a essential Part in a Domain.
But i never tried to do something.
I'd demote the DC first then change the sid, the re-promote it.
You can run a SID changer against a DC but don't expect it work work with the domain if you do as it's a vital id for the domain.
