No 'new site' button in resource reservation database

Hi All

Got 2 6.5.1 servers

Trying to setup resource reservations as per:
http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=0&uid=swg27003382

I wasn't sure about this article as it's R5.  It shows some router settings which I changed to agree with the article - anybody know about those?

Now I create the reservations database but I don't get a 'new site' button in any of the views.

When I go into manage ACL on this database and advanced the option to choose an administration server is greyed out.  If I go to server - files and choose other databases it isn't greyed out.

So I'm assuming that my lack of an admin server on this database is my issue.

AdminP appears to be running and I've been able to register test users so that suggests it's happy.  Help!

Obviously you don't have Manager access to the database. Who has?

The IBM document appears to be valid for R6 as well, although there may be minor differences.

Actually the databases including the domino directory all have no adminstrative server defined.  Where do I go to do that?

The other issue is you  need the 'create resource' role but when I go into the acl as the admin I can't grant it - the box won't tick.

You need manager access to change anything in the ACL, which includes roles and settinsg the admin server.  Setting teh admin server is on the ADVANCED tab of the access control dialog.

If you don't have manager acess, see who does have it.  If you have access to the server box and console, you can use the ACLHelp utility on http://OpenNTF.org -- I have an updated installer for it, but I have to work with Ian, the project owner, to get that added.

Hmm seemed to be a weird ACL glitch.  I deleted the database - replaced the template from another server just to be sure - re-created the database and I could set it up.  Might run the real retail 6.5.3 from now on - not sure I trust the eval stuff.

Now my next problem is when I actually go to reserve a room.  When I go 'find a room at a specific time' it says 'no resource/room found for times...etc.'  The time is correct.  I've checked that the admin has rights on the server to run agents.

If I select a room the one I created is there.  But when I go to save and close I get: 'An error occurred while validating the available time for this resource.'

I looked at the troubleshooting script:  http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=0&q=7002916&uid=swg27002916
but couldn't see anything relevant there.
