ASP tags changing view when dragged within a table

I am new to Dreamweaver (MX 2004) and normally work in Interdev. I have a table that shows ASP in the Design view as 'ASP' tags. When I drag the ASP tag from one <td> to another the whole table row  gains a light blue highlight and the <%=fn%> shows as {fn} on the layout instead of the original 'ASP' tag. This messes up my view of the design as the column widths have increaed. Any suggestions on how to stop this happending

Check in the preferences.

Edit>>Preferences>>Highlighting>>Live data
Edit>>Preferences>>Invisible Elements

Although I dont know why I would change from cell to cell.

also, The cell width probably did not change.
Just becasue it looks wrong in DW, doenst mean that it does live.

This doesn't undo the change in 'mode' that occured, however I can set the 'dynamic text' to {} which helps.
