Sony Ericsson P900  - syncing/receiving mail from exchange 2003

What is the best way of giving email access to Sony Ericsson P900?  This is using GPRS.  We currently not using imap or pop3 options on the exchange server.

    You only have two options really:

    IMAP or POP3.

    I personally would go with IMAP. This will allow the phone to read email, but it is still on the server for downloading to the main Exchange client.

    For IMAP support you will just need to enable the service in ESM, then open the port on the firewall. Enable the user to use IMAP and then configure the phone.

    Dont want to use IMAP or  POP......looking for Mapi  option, I think its not possible and will prob need to use OMA.

    If anybody else has a solution let me know

    There is no MAPI client for the SE P900. Even the Windows based Smartphones don't have a MAPI client.
    Therefore if you don't want to use either IMAP or POP3 then you will have to use OMA.
