connection error when connecting to specific business views
HI
I am using Business views of Crystal 10. When some users are running their reports which were based on business views they are failed to run and they are getting error messages saying Transport error: communication failure:
I tried to open the same Business views in business view manager and i am getting the same error. But i can open the data foundation of the same view but not elements and views.
I dont know whats happening, help is appreciated

Hello mlmcc,
Actually business views is new in CE10, its a combination of infoviews + crystal dictionaries with row and column level security.
There is another link in the knowledge base which i found lastnight is more close to my problem except it says this error message occurs in sybase, but mine is sql server. There is a patch / some zip file provided as well.
Thanks
sam

Thanks for the info. I am stuck with CR8 due to business decisions (no $ and no real reason to move on) so I learn what i can about the later versions.
