Fireworks MX won't take me back to my working folder.

I'm having a problem with Fireworks MX not taking me back to my working folder.  Usually, when I open a graphic and compress it for the web, Fireworks will save my file locations automatically so the next time I go to open a graphic - it takes me back to the same location I was at before (as long as I don't close the program).  Something has changed and now I have to navigate through folder after folder to find the same location I was just at.  It's driving me nuts.  How can I tell Fireworks to go back to the same folder every time?  Or at least get it to remember where I just was?

Thanks!

Fireworks only saves the path if you save the image after you have exported it, can you confirm you are doing this?

Its easy to click no when it asks you to save the changes after you export an image then exit Fireworks due to the thinking of i haven't made any changes so i wont save.

Yep, I knew that one :)  But even when I batch a bunch of files Fireworks won't remember where I was.  It's really slowing me down...

I think the most you can really do is recommend a fix to Macromedia in their next version...

Ok, let's forget that one...

How about this question:  How can I alter the (preference?) files in Fireworks MX to designate the folder to open graphics from in the first place?  Right now default settings automatically take me to Desktop > My Pictures.

Anyone know how to change the default folder?

I mean permanently.  Everything gets cleared when I close the program (it does sometimes go back to the folder I was just in but not very often).

OK I fixed it myself.  I think it was a problem with the registry. I reinstalled Fireworks and now it works like its suposed to.

Thanks anyway guys!  :)
