Eliminate screen executing a bat file

Hi,
Can I run a bat file without the display of the dos prompt screen?
I just want to execute the bat file and let it perform the task without opening a dos screen.
Thanks

You can create and change the properties of a shortcut so that it starts minimized, but you cannot run a batchfile without a DOS box. You could re-write the batchfile in VBScript and have it run with WSCRIPT.EXE - which does not present a window, unless you choose to display one.
