iMate not syncronising VERY URGENT!!

My boss has an iMate Windows mobile Pocket pc. Everything was working fine. When he puts the iMate into cradle, Windows pops up Microsoft Active Sync and syncs all data. Now all of the sudden, the iMate just won't connect to the pc. I tried using another USB port, I even installed an extra add-in card. I restored windows registry (Win98), uninstalled and reinstalled Microsoft Active Sync. Still no luck.

I had a look at his iMate. From the iMate start menu, I clicked on active sync, but it doesn't do anything, I can't seem to adjust or modify any settings. Active Sync just closes. Could there be corruption or data missing from the iMate??

I have solved the problem.

1) Remove the file named "picViewSync.dat" in the windows directory on the pocket PC

2) Perform a soft reset

3) Synchronize again

I did this and immediately was able to sync for the first time in over 2 weeks!
Closed, 500 points refunded.
