Cisco 3600 with Stuck Interface

All,
I have a Cisco 3640 and apparently I'm a moron.  12.1 IOS, 4 T's in it, nothing special, all internal routing.  Had a modem card and group sync interface in config.  Shut down that group sync interface completely and removed the card, replaced with a network mod with two wics.  I can see/configure the two new wics, but the group sync interface still resides in the configuration.  How do I go about removing the interface.  Not really hurting anything, just would like to have it gone just to make it look clean.  Thoughts?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You could try the no interface XXXX command and see if that gets rid of it, replace the XXXX with the name and number of the interface you want to eliminate.
