Domain - Workgroup trust

Is it possible to have a Windows 2000 server, that is part of a workgroup, have a trust relationship with a Windows Server 2003 Domain.  In the environment that I have I am not able to make the workgroup a domain.

Thanks

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

No, you can only have trusts between domains.

if you only want to connect to shares of the domain, you can use "connect as".
if you want to do administrative tasks, you can connect to IPC$ ("net use \\servername\IPC$") to connect as an domain user.
as soon as this connection is established, all connections to this server are done with this domain credentials.
