is there any one to help me please....i would appreciate it..

JSTL came in JSP2.0. So any servlet container that supports jsp2.0 will support it. Because nb3.6 comes with tomcat5 which is jsp2.0 compliant, i dont think there would be any problem

Earlier programmers used to write scriptlets in their JSP which is not a good idea because it makes ur JSP page  hard to understand for designers and it also becomes very difficult to maintain.
So sun came up with jstl where in u can use jstl for some common functionality u'd need in ur JSP page.

If jstl is not sufficient u may even write ur own custom tags.

Is ur problem solved or do u need more info.
