Are there any publicly accessible devices out there that will respond to SNMP queries?

HI I am trying to learn SNMP but don't have access to SNMP enabled devices. Is it a crazy notion to hope that there might be some devices that might be on the internet that would respond?

Regards

The best chance for you is to get Linux going on several desktop and use utilities within Linux to learn SNMP.
Another option is to buy couple of Linksys devices such as Linksys BEFSR41 router or Linksys WAP11
they support SNMP and are aroung $50 each.
Take a look at http://net-snmp.sourceforge.net/ they have some valuable SNMP tools that you could use.

if u using windows, windows 2000 comes with snmp support.
you can install that and learn how to set/get the mib tree, how to do a walk in snmp tree etc..
