Sony Clie will not sync Outlook inbox.

Hi everyone,

I have a client who has a Sony Clie.  The client's calendar and contacts sync fine.

However,  the inbox will not sync correctly.

Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong.

Follow this procedure to modify the Mail Setup for the CLIÉ® handheld.


* The Mail Setup may fail if previous PalmTM Desktop software was not properly removed prior to installing the PalmTM Desktop for Sony application.
* A default mail client must be installed and configured on the computer.
* Only Messaging Application Programming Interface (MAPI) compliant mail applications are supported.
* The handheld cannot be configured to synchronize with a Microsoft® Exchange® server.

In the Mail Setup window, in the Mail Setup window, click the Change button

NOTE: If the PalmTM Desktop application has more than one user, the specific user must first be selected. In the User Selection window, click the down arrow and click to select the appropriate user, then click the OK button.
# In the Pick which e-mail application... window, next to Synchronize with:, click the down arrow and click to select the desired e-mail application.
# Click the Next button

NOTE: When selecting an e-mail application, a message may appear with instructions to make the application the default MAPI e-mail program. If the selected application is not the default MAPI e-mail program, follow the on-screen instructions.
# Click the Finish button.
# Perform a PalmTM Hotsync® operation to transfer e-mail to the handheld

NOTE: If the mail conduit is set to Do Nothing, the message Your selected Hotsync action for Mail is currently set to Do Nothing.... will be displayed. Click the OK button and change the setting using the PalmTM HotSync® Manager.
