symantec vpn question

I have a client that has Symantec firewall, and he was not able to get vpn working from home, because he did not have the correct service. Now he has a business type service, and now has a static ip. He is not able to get the vpn working, and I am not able to visit the site, what can I e-mail him to try, to get it working any ideas? Thank you in advance

Is it a Symantec firewall appliance?  He'd have to make sure that he setup the VPN correctly.  The static IP shouldn't matter.  VPN is suppose to work via internet meaning from any public IP address.
