linksys wireless router

hello I came home and my internet stopped working. I rebooted teh router, but it still did not work, on teh router the power button is just blinking if I unplug the router the internet works? any ideas>

Reset it to factory defaults and try again? There should be a reset point accessible with a pin (or end of a paperclip).

Replace the cable between the modem and router?

From the User Manual:

If the LED keeps flashing, the device is not working properly. Try to flash the firmware by assiging a static IP address to the computer, and then upgrade the firmware. Try using the following settings, IP Address 192.168.1.50 and Subnet Mast 255.255.255.0

this is what I put on teh computer, and then what is teh address for the router again? thank you so much I hope this works
