yes, nor did i ;)

i read "IBM 2000  1  06P2525  01" on the cpu side of the mboard;

the best approaching thing i found on the net was something that matched the mboard chipset Intel Solano i815E: and the best was an XP driver, though not sure it's an audio driver here again

anyway, thank you for your precious time, and you get any lead, please kindly drop me a word.
What you need to do is ID the manufacturer of your soundcard, look here for how to do it:
You may want to try going to windows update (  After it searches your computer comes back with available updates, there is a link on the left of the screen for hardware.  If they have it there, it would save you a lot of time.
zeria go here >>
can you see the link Automatically Detect My System in the right column, click it and check what does it report about your system ?? :)

thank you all gentlemen,

after the usual headaches, i managed to meet the vendor, he provided me instantly with a fresh burn of the entire mbd drivers, witch instantly installed uneventfully, so everything's running fine now.

couple of wasted days, a lot of new friends after, dff... (data flowing fine)

thank you all for your precious time, i'll maybe be back shortly for linux tips as i'm definitly switching by now after a decade or so of winds... (need a 90days-minimum-between-reboots system, and i suppose lin will do the trick!)

great..... glad you got it solved atlast zeriab :)
Cheers ^_^
