is there a way to quickly lock (and password) windows xp via screen saver etc?
i have a laptop that i would like to secure when i step out of my office.  right now i have screen saver set up to activate every 5 mins.  however, i would prefer to have a hot key to activate the lockdown immediately when i need to...

Use the Windows Key and the letter L in combination.  Of course, you can also always press CTRL+ALT+DEL and select "Lock Workstation"
