Computer used to freeze now wont boot (xp pro)

my computer used to freeze and the mouse would not move/keyboard would not respond/sound stopped. now i reinstalled xp and it froze during an installation and now xp pro will not boot! any ideas?

This could be a number of different things. I would suspect firstly your hard drive going bad and secondly a problem with your RAM.

HD manufacturers ususally have a diagnostic software available on their web site. Try one of those.

At what point does the O/S boot fail? During POST or during O/S load?

hmm, i fixed it now... i got new processor, graphics card and ram and it fixed it

i think it was the graphics card messin it up lol
